Bath Astronomers Observing Session Wellow April 5
« on: April 06, 2016, 12:12:35 PM »
Tony and I had a reasonably successful observing session at Wellow last night. Jupiter offered lots of detail, and we observed it for longer than usual as we waited for twilight to end so we could focus on galaxies in Leo, Virgo, and Coma B. Transparency was reasonable, but these galaxy groups were definitely more difficult targets than they would have been at Whitesheet Hill. The Ursa Major galaxies were virtually overhead, and closer, and therefore brighter, so they were easier fare!
